Thanks to a generous donation from the Delmont Wal-Mart, the Westmoreland County Food Bank has a hard-to-find Nintendo Wii. The Nintendo Wii was released back in November of 2006 but are still always sold out in local retail stores!
For a $5.00 donation, you will receive two entries into the drawing for this great prize! Not only do we have the Wii console, the winner will also receive the popular "Mario & Sonic at the Olympics" game!
Our winner will be drawn on June 14 at our Super Cruz III at Westmoreland County Community College. Raffle tickets are now available in our eStore! You can also purchase tickets from us on May 7 and 8 at the Business to Business Expo at the Laurel Highlands Event Center behind Westmoreland Mall. We will also have Raffle tickets on sale at Super Cruz III.
Super Cruz III
The planning of the Third Annual Westmoreland County Food Bank Super Cruz is in full swing! As an added attraction this year, the Food Bank has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of the Laurel Region. Two concerts featuring "The Fabulous Hubcaps" will be held at 5:00 and 7:30 PM in the Science Building Theater. Tickets for the concert are $20 each and benefit BBBS.
Make sure to come early and join in the fun with great food, great music and AWESOME HOT RODS in the Science Building Parking lot. The Cruz is from 2-6 PM. All Cruz vehicles are welcome and encouraged to come. Cruz vehicles are asked to bring non-perishable food items and a donation of $5.
The Super Cruz is in need of sponsors for the event, Chinese Auction Prizes and volunteers! We are also in need of food vendors but space is limited so act now, email Jennifer Miller at jennifer@westmorelandfoodbank.org if you are interested.
