Hunger Action Month Food Drives During Feeding America’s Hunger Action Month, food drives are planned throughout the area at WalMart, Shop N Save and other grocery stores. Groups/Organizations are asked to sponsor a location for a day or a weekend.  Volunteers will hand out flyers to shoppers entering the stores to encourage them to purchase items from the list. In addition to food, volunteers also collect monetary donations at the entrance of the store.  Food donations are collected either in the store or in a vehicle provided either by the food bank or by the sponsoring organization. Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.  Signage and flyers are provided by WCFB.
