Scouting for Food Approximately 3000 Scouts from Westmoreland Fayette Council will do a good turn on Saturday, April 27, 2013 for the 26th annual “Scouting for Food” Drive.  Scouts will distribute door hangers to homes in selected communities the week before this drive, as a reminder.  Scouts will return on Saturday, April 27 to pick up donated food items.  Donors are asked to bag their nonperishable food items and leave it on their porch by 8:00 am.  UPS will provide volunteers and trucks to transport the donated food from selected sites throughout the county to our warehouse. If your food is not picked up that day, please contact the scout office at 724-837-1630.  Individuals, businesses or organizations who would like to participate in this food drive or volunteer at Westmoreland County Food Bank’s Delmont Warehouse between 12-3 p.m. on April 27 may contact Louise Wilhelm, WCFB Food Drive Coordinator at 724-468-8660, Ext. 13 or louise@westmorelandfoodbank.org.
